As host of the 2010 Winter Games Sea to Sky Volunteer Centre, Squamish proudly serves as the primary regional hub for recruitment, deployment and training of volunteers for the Games. Just minutes from most venues, Squamish will be bursting with action and activity in 2010. And as the “Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada”, Squamish offers a wide range of outdoor adventure activities and family-friendly recreation for those moments when you’re not cheering on the world’s best.

Squamish Torch Relay Community Celebration
Everyone is welcome to join in the festivities celebrating day 98 of the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay.
3pm - 5:30pm - Squamish Rotary presents Canada vs USA hockey game featuring your own Squamish Wolfpack
6pm - 8pm - Outdoor entertainment featuring all local entertainers.

Spectator Tickets
Tickets for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games are now on sale through official auction and the Fan-to-fan Marketplace at Vancouver2010.com. Tickets can also be purchased in person in Whistler at the Main Ticket Centre (Whistler Medals Plaza) and in Vancouver at Robson Square for most events.

Transportation to Squamish
Getting to Squamish is simpler than ever with the recent completion of the Sea to Sky Highway improvement project.

Getting to Vancouver Events From Squamish
All spectators are encouraged to rideshare/carpool or take private carriers to Vancouver and then access public transit within Metro Vancouver.
- Getting to Canada Hockey Place
- Take a RideBooker Shuttle, Greyhound, Pacific Coach Lines, or other public transit to Downtown Vancouver (Granville Station) and then take the Millennium Line to Stadium Station. This is a very easy transfer! See this map.
- Getting to Pacific Coliseum
- Take a RideBooker Shuttle, Greyhound, Pacific Coach Lines, or other public transit to Downtown Vancouver (Granville Station) and then take bus 004 from the corner of Pender and Seymour to the Pacific Coliseum. For a map see Granville to Pacific Coliseum Map.
- Getting to UBC Thunderbird Stadium
- Take a RideBooker Shuttle, Greyhound, Pacific Coach Lines , or other public transit to Downtown Vancouver (Granville Station); then walk to Waterfront Station (5 minutes) and board the Canada Line to Broadway-City Hall Station; and then transfer onto the 99 B-Line express bus to UBC.
- Getting to Richmond Olympic Oval
- Take a RideBooker Shuttle, Greyhound, Pacific Coach Lines, or other public transit to Downtown Vancouver (Granville Station) and then walk a short distance to the Vancouver Centre Station. Take the Canada Line train to Brighouse Station. Transfer to the C94 bus which will take you to the venue.
- Getting to BC Place (Opening & Closing Ceremonies)
- Take a RideBooker Shuttle, Greyhound, Pacific Coach Lines, or other public transit to Downtown Vancouver (Granville Station) and then take the Millennium Line to Stadium Station. This is a very easy transfer! See this map
- Getting to Cypress Mountain
- All spectators with tickets to Cypress events must travel to Cypress Mountain via the Olympic bus network. The available Departure Hubs for Cypress Mountain are Capilano University, Simon Fraser University, and Lonsdale Quay. Transportation to a Cypress Mountain Departure Hub is best done via a RideBooker Shuttle, Greyhound, Pacific Coach Lines , or other public transit option

Getting to Whistler Events From Squamish
Travel restrictions on Highway 99 will apply during peak hours (6 am to 6 pm) for vehicles travelling northbound from Squamish to Whistler from Feb 11-28, 2010. Checkpoint Permits are required for all northbound travel beyond Squamish during peak hours (6 am to 6 pm) to manage parking in Whistler. Motor Coach Services, charters, and BC Transit offer travel between Squamish and Whistler. VANOC has provided this one page PDF containing information on transportation to Whister for Squamish residents and visitors.
- Getting to Whistler Creekside
- Take a RideBooker Shuttle, BC Transit (#98 Express) , Pacific Coach Lines, or other public transit from Squamish to Whistler. For RideBooker Shuttle passengers, go to the Gondola Transit Exchange in Whistler and then take the Creekside Event Shuttle (a free shuttle to Whistler Creekside for event ticket holders). BC Transit passengers on the #98 Squamish Connector, can disembark in Whistler Creekside to access this venue.
- BC Transit #98 Connector from Squamish to Whistler is free on the day of your Olympic Event. Show your event ticket when boarding the bus. Service will run from 6am to 2am daily.
- Getting to The Whistler Sliding Centre
- Take a RideBooker Shuttle, BC Transit (#98 Express) , Pacific Coach Lines, or other public transit to to the Gondola Transit Exchange in Whistler. Spectators can access the venue by the Excalibur gondola or by walking. All spectators requiring accessible transportation must catch the accessible mini-buses from Lot 3 or the Gondola Exchange in order to reach the venue’s accessible entrance.
- BC Transit #98 Connector from Squamish to Whistler is free on the day of your Olympic Event. Show your event ticket when boarding the bus. Service will run from 6am to 2am daily.
- Getting to Whistler Olympic Park
- If you are a resident of Squamish and have an event ticket for the Whistler Olympic Park, have a boarding pass, and government issued photo ID showing you reside in Squamish - you have access to the Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) complimentary shuttle leaving from Squamish Transit Exchange on Discovery Way (beside the Walmart) at the time specified on your boarding pass.
- If you are a guest of a resident of Squamish, you are travelling with that resident of Squamish, you both have an event ticket for the WOP, you each have a boarding pass, and the resident you are travelling with has government issued photo ID showing you reside in Squamish - you both have access to the Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) complimentary shuttle leaving from Squamish Transit Exchange on Discovery Way (beside the Walmart) at the time specified on your boarding pass.
- If you are a guest staying in provided accommodations in Squamish but are travelling alone or NOT with a resident of Squamish but you have an event ticket for the Whistler Olympic Park, you do not have a boarding pass, and you do not have a government issued photo ID showing you reside in Squamish - you will have to wait to see if the VANOC complimentary shuttle you are trying to board is full. You are NOT guaranteed a space on the WOP complimentary shuttle. You may be denied. access to the WOP complimentary shuttle due to capacity limitations. You do have access to the #98 Express into the Whistler Village at any time. Alternative transportation options for nordic events: take a RideBooker Shuttle, Pacific Coach Lines, or other public transit to Whistler Village and then take the Whistler Olympic Park Express shuttle directly to Whistler Olympic Park. The Whistler Olympic Park Express is a free shuttle to Whistler Olympic Park for event ticket holders and leaves from day skier Lot 5.
- If you are not a resident of Squamish, you do not have a boarding pass but you have a ticket to the Whistler Olympic Park, you have access to the #98 Express into the Whistler Village. Alternative transportation options for nordic events: take a RideBooker Shuttle, Pacific Coach Lines, or other public transit to Whistler Village and then take the Whistler Olympic Park Express shuttle directly to Whistler Olympic Park. The Whistler Olympic Park Express is a free shuttle to Whistler Olympic Park for event ticket holders and leaves from day skier Lot 5.
